Dr. Andrew Skiendzielewski is a specialist in the treatment of venous disease (varicose veins and spider veins). He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology and the American Venous Forum.

Dr. Andrew Skiendzielewski, DO has earned his B.S. in Biology from Dickinson College, a small liberal arts college in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He then attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, he trained at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville, Pennsylvania, completing a traditional rotating internship year and then a residency in Emergency Medicine. He maintains his board certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

After residency, Dr. Andrew Skiendzielewski left his home state of Pennsylvania and moved to Maryland, where he practiced Emergency Medicine at two local hospitals. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he served as the educational coordinator of Physician Assistant students rotating through his Emergency Departments.

During his time in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Andrew Skiendzielewski treated many patients with medical issues relating, either directly or indirectly, to venous disease-the underlying problem that can cause complications such as varicose veins and lower leg skin changes and/or ulcerations. While he enjoyed practicing Emergency Medicine, he became intrigued when he learned of a new field of medicine that focused on venous disease, which to that point had been managed-often with limited amounts of success-with either conservative measures or, in severe cases, uncomfortable surgical procedures.

Dr. Skiendzielewski then shifted his full attention to the field of Phlebology, the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of venous disorders. He then became a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology and the American Venous Forum.

Dr. Skiendzielewski lives in Southlake, Texas with his wife and their two children.
