Endovenous ablation with either Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) or Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) has become the ‘gold standard’ for the treatment of venous disease. Clinical data with up to 5 years of follow-up show success rates of 93-99%. This is much higher than stripping, ligation or injections alone.

Results of treatment vary depending upon many factors unique to each patient, some of which include complexity and severity of venous disease, genetic variation, age, sex, previous pregnancies, obesity, compliance with medical recommendations, and other medical conditions.
